The MOL-IT India office has designed & developed the Trailer Operations Management System titled MTS for MOL Auto Logistics (India) Pvt Ltd which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Ltd. (MOL). The company was established at Chennai (India) in November 2008 and will cater to the domestic and export/import needs of car manufacturers in the country. It will provide inland transportation services (by car trailer), as well as export/import related port services for finished cars.

The first phase of this development takes care of the trailer transportation planning, operations and control. The system also interfaces into the car manufacturers' application system as required. Phase II discussions are in progress for further enhancements to the system which caters to MIS, Billing, KPI and automation of certain process. This application is developed on the Dotnet technology and using SQLServer 2008 as the database.
